Apple Today Released Fourth Public Beta Of iOS 11, macOS 10.13, And tvOS 11 To PB Testers

Apple just released the fourth public beta of iOS 11, the beta comes two weeks after released the public beta 3 and it corresponds to the developer beta 5. Public Beta testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program will receive the new iOS 11 PB update via OTA after installed the proper certificate on an iDevice.

The beta 5 removes the iCloud Messages feature, introduces new icons for Camera and Settings, features a new Control Center Music widget that makes it easier to send music to AirPlay devices, speakers, and headphones, and more tweaks like Screen Recording status bar is red instead of blue, new FaceTime ring when making a call, etc.


​Apple today also released the fourth public beta of macOS High Sierra update, two weeks after released the PB 2. The public beta 4 of macOS 10.13 is likely to correspond the fifth developer beta, which was available to developers earlier this week. PB testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program can download the update through Mac App Store

There are few outward-facing changes in deveoper beta,5, starting with an improved Photos app featuring a persistent navigation sidebar, curve-based editing for precise control over the tones in an image, support for editing in external apps such as Pixelmator and Photoshop. and a new option to capture Live Photos while using FaceTime. FaceTime Live Photos was first introduced in the iOS 11 beta.



​Aside from seeding Fourth Public Beta of iOS 11 and macOS 10.13, Apple also released tvOS 11 Fourth PB. The tvOS 11 update can be obtained by going to the Settings app on an Apple TV and navigate to the Software Updates. Toggle on “Get Public Beta Updates", and then Apple TV will download the beta software.

For tvOS 11, three major updates were found: the Home Screen Sync, which Keep your apps and Home screens up to date across any Apple TV, Automatic Dark Mode and Automatic Pair AirPods in tvOS 11.
