Apple Releases Fifth Beta Of iOS 11.1, tvOS 11.1, And Fourth Beta Of macOS 10.13.1 To Developers

Apple today released the fifth public beta of iOS 11.1 to PB testres, just over one month after releasing iOS 11 to the public and few days after releasing the developer beta 4 update. Beta testers can visit the Apple Developer Center to download the beta profile, in order to update your device to iOS 11. go to Settings - Software Update.


The iOS 11.1 beta introduces range of new Unicode 10 emoji characters: crazy face, pie, pretzel, t-rex, vampire, exploding head, face vomiting, shushing face, love you gesture, pie, hedgehog, and more. The beta also returns 3D Touch App Switcher gestures for multitasking, as of built-in keyboard in iOS 11.1 now offers up multiple emoji symbols, and several other small tweaks.

The update also introduces a fix for a Reachability bug that is been present since the release of iOS 11, and a faster unlock animation. As for As for security fixes, the version addresses a serious vulnerability in the WPA2 Wi-Fi standard that protects majority of modern Wi-Fi networks. Attackers could exploit weaknesses in WPA2 protocol to decrypt network traffic to sniff out sensitive information.

in addition to releasing iOS 11.1 Beta, Apple today also released fourth of macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 beta to developers, less than a week after seeding the third of macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 beta. Testers can download macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 Public Beta 4 through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store with the proper profile installed.


MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1 focuses on bug fixes, performance improvements, security enhancements, and other under-the-hood changes. Like iOS 11.1, the beta includes a fix for a serious vulnerability in the WPA2 Wi-Fi standard that protects many modern Wi-Fi networks. As for other significant changes, the update introduces a range of new Unicode 10 emojis.

Lastly, Apple seeded the third beta of an upcoming tvOS 11.1 update to developers, just few days after seeding the fourth beta of tvOS 11.1 update and a month after releasing tvOS 11 to the public. The beta can be downloaded onto the Apple TV via a profile that's installed using Xcode on the Mac. With the update appears to be focus on bug fixes and performance improvements.
