Apple appear to start rolling out its official TV app today started showing up for some Apple TV and iOS Devices owners in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, nearly a year after Apple originally announced the service in the U.S.
According to Apple’s iOS Feature Availability webpage, the so-called TV app is currently available in the United Starts, Canada (English, French), Australia, Norway and Sweden. More than 60 services are supported by the U.S. version of the TV app, Apple is also adding support for additional local services, such as ITV, Channel 5, and BBC iPlayer in the U.K.
Few days ago, Apple released iOS 11.2 and tvOS 11.2 which brings new Sport section under the TV app. In another move indicating that it’s doubling-down on this app. Earlier of this week the company transformed its official iTunes Movies account on Twitter into @AppleTV.

It offers a unified experience for accessing TV shows and movies via multiple video apps, and aims to help users discover new TV and movie content by offering some recommendations based on what they've previously watched.
The service also syncs content in the cloud so users can pick up where they left off on other devices via the accompanying iOS TV app. It supports the Single Sign-On feature can easier logging with existing cable credentials and works great across devices. This feature has been appearing on devices across the pond.
