Apple Maps' Lane Guidance Expands To Austria, South Africa, And Switzerland, With More Cities Now Supports Transit Directions

Back last June in WWDC 2017, Apple has introduced a new lane guidance feature in iOS 11 that will let user know which lane it should be avoid to if they missing a sudden turn or an exit, and now Apple has added more and more cities to support this feature.

This week, Apple has made lane guidance features available in Austria, South Africa, and Switzerland. In total, now available in 14 countries including Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, the UK, and the United States.

Separately, Apple Maps' transit directions that is rolled out with iOS 9 has also gained new date for Columbia, Charleston, and Greenville, South Carolina. With the function, an user can now access bus routes from The COMET in Columbia, CARTA in Charleston, as well as Greenlink Transit in Greenville.

The Transit Directions is now available in Baltimore, Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto, and around 300 cities in China. We expected that more cities will be add to the list in the future.
