Apple Music Crosses 38 Million Paid Subscribers Mark, As The Look Of Its iTunes Badge Has Been Refreshed

Apple's services chief Eddy Cue who recently revealed that Apple Music now has 38 million paying subscribers worldwide. Cue also said there are over eight million customers that're currently taking advantage of Apple Music's free three-month trial period.

The WSJ last time confirmed that the music streaming service had 36 million subscribers in a February 4, suggesting it is growing at a clip of roughly 400,000 subscribers per week, or 1.6 million per month. Which appears to be Apple Music's fastest growth rate every since it launched back in June 2015.


Apple is also updating its Apple Music and the iTunes Store assets, these assets incorporate graphics introduced with iOS 11 in September. Both black and white variants of the iTunes Store asset are available for download and use by affiliates promoting their content.

In addition, the company is also increasing commissions for the streaming service to a one-time 100 percent on the first paid month of a user's subscription. That figure is double the current rate of 50 percent. At the same time, Apple Music for Artist, the dashboard which provides artists with insights about how often their music is played and purchased, as well as listeners' location begins to expand to all users.
