How To Speed Up watchOS Update Process On Your Apple Watch

For most Apple Watch users, the slow software update process can be really frustrating. Large updates can take anyway between hours or more! So users usually install it at night time. However, did you know that you can speed up the installation process? Here’s how!

  1. Make sure your Apple Watch and iPhone are connecting to a Wi-Fi network, and it’s on a charger with at least 50% of battery
  2. Go the Watch app on your iPhone, click on My Watch -> Settings -> General -> Software Update
  3. Tap on Download & Install, once you see “time remaining...”, go to Settings app on your device, and toggle off Bluetooth.
  4. Return to the Watch app and when a disconnecting message appears, click on Cancel button
  5. By doing this, you simply use a Wi-Fi connection to make the installation process faster, compared to a much-slower Bluetooth network.
