2018 iPad Pro: 'Pro' On Performance, But 'Poor' On Camera

The performance of the new 2018 iPad Pro has surfaced in the Geekbench database. The performance of the new 8-core A12X bionic chip is absolutely powerful, Apple said the new iPad Pro delivers up to 90 percent faster multi-core performance compared to the previous-generation models, it even comparable to the newest 15-inch MacBook Pro!

The new iPad Pro A12X chip has a single-core score of 5,025 and a multi-core score of 18,106, which is the fastest iPad in history. This result can even be compared to the 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro (with Intel's 6-core Core i7 chip). Though the single-score of A12X roughly the same as A12, the multi-core far better than the already-fast A12 chip.

On camera, the powerful tablets didn't improve but rather falls even behind than last year's models. The 2018 iPad Pro is arguably new and upgraded, with the exception of camera configuration. The new 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro's camera specs are not as strong as the previous 10.5-inch models: It lacks optical image stabilization (OIS) feature, and uses five-element lens taher than six-element lens.

The reasons behind it is the fact that they slim the new iPads down to just 5.9 mm thickness, they don't want the camera bump so bad, also a reason why they removed the headphone jack. Overall, the design is what the modern tablet suppose to be.
