Bluetooth Regulatory Filing Reveals Apple May Launch AirPods 2 Very Soon

Although we didn't see the new AirPods at October Event held a week ago, Apple may still planning to debut the second-generation of AirPods likely early of next year or this year via press release, according to the new AirPods listings that were added to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group's regulatory database on November 1st.

We can see on the list that the unreleased AirPods have model numbers A2031 and A2032, correspond to a left AirPod and a right AirPod, both of which have completed the Bluetooth Qualification Process. Furthermore, the wireless headphone appears to have Bluetooth 5.0 built-in, so that means you can still connect devices with Bluetooth pairing at faster rate.

It's been long-rumored that Apple is prepared to launch second-generation AirPods with supports for hands-free "Hey Siri" feature. In fact, on September event, Apple showed the AirPods already support the feature. We are expecting to see a new AirPods wireless charging case come out, possibly alongside AirPower wireless charging mat.
