Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in his latest research paper that he expects the three iPhones to be released in next week, namely iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, and Apple's tile-like tracker, will support UWB technology, which is also a key innovation of the 2019 iPhone.
Ultra Wide Band (UWB) is a short-range radio tech that instead of utilizing a sinusoidal carrier, it employs a technique which causes a spreading of the radio energy over a very wide frequency band, with a very low power spectral density. UWB technology has the advantages of low system complexity, low power spectral density of transmitted signals, insensitivity to channel fading, low interception capability, and high positioning accuracy.
