16-Inch MacBook Pro: Multiple Display And Adjustable Refresh Rate Supported

This week, Apple introduced the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, which has made several improvements for professional users. Now, Apple's official support documents noted that the new 16-inch MacBook Pro supports up to two external 6K displays (6016 × 3384 resolution, 60Hz), including:

• Two 6K displays with resolutions of 6016 x 3384 at 60Hz
• Two 5K displays with resolutions of 5120 x 2880 at 60Hz
• Four 4K displays with resolutions of 4096 x 2304 at 60Hz
• One 5K display at 5120 x 2880 at 60Hz and up to three 4K displays at 4096 x 2304 at 60Hz

Apple asserts that in order to maximize the performance of multiple monitors, users are encouraged to connect the monitor on different sides of the high-powered MacBook Pro. Additionally, users can also link the LG UltraFine display to the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, which includes:

• Two LG UltraFine 5K displays configured at 5120 x 2880 10bpc at 60Hz
• Four LG UltraFine 4K displays configured at 4096 x 2304 8bpc at 60Hz
• One LG UltraFine 5K display connected to one side of your Mac and two LG UltraFine 4K displays connected to ports on the opposite side

Another new feature that are exclusive to the 16-inch MacBook Pro users is the ability to adjust the refresh rate of the machine! This is crucial for professionals, especially those video editors, Apple stated it can accommodate the MacBook Pro's refresh rate to match the video being edited. Currently, the refresh rate that can be selected encompasses 47.95, 48, 50, 59.95 or 60 Hz. The feature was not available in the previous MacBook Pro.

For example, if you are watching 24 frames per second, you should choose a 48Hz refresh rate. In the System Preferences -> Display -> Refresh Rate", wherein you can select a variety of refresh rates.

Following the work on video editing and anything like that, Apple urges evoking the 60Hz refresh rate.
