Apple Releases First Public Beta Of iOS 13.4 And iPadOS 13.4

Apple today issued the first public beta of iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4, this comes a little under a week after the releasing of the iOS 13.4 developer beta 1. Public beta testers who signed up for the Public Beta Program can update their devices to the latest operating system by going to Settings > General > Software Update.


iOS 13.4 introduces the much-anticipated iCloud folder sharing feature, first shown on WWDC 2019, which allows you to share your iCloud folder with others. Another crucial new feature is the ability to let developers who make Mac and iOS apps sell them together in a single package, which streamlines experience for both developers and users.

Additionally, when an app requests Always authorization for the first time after having previously been authorized for While Using the App, devices with iOS 13.4 installed will immediately display the location authorization prompt. There is also a new keyboard shortcuts are available in Photos on iPadOS 13.4, which allow you to quickly navigate between tabs, search, and create albums.

Other minor features and tweaks Apple added in iOS 13.4 includes nine new Memoji sticker options that include shocked face, face with hearts, eyes rolling, and more; new third-party navigation and and call controls; CarKey APIs for Apple Watch to unlock cars; and rearranged icons in the Mail app toolbar, as well as a new Shazam integration in the Shortcuts app.
