Apple today released the first beta of iOS 11.1 to developers, just over one week after releasing iOS 11 to the public and a day after releasing the first bug fix update. Registered developers can visit the Apple Developer Center to download the beta profile, to check software updates in Settings and view the new OTA release.
In this beta, several new features were found. When using QuickType in iOS 11.1, you can now get multiple options for different emojis, there's also a new animation when switching between apps. the update also appears to have faster unlock animation, as for performance, it feels a little better, and updated icons in bottom bar in iBooks app.
Apple today released the first beta of an upcoming watchOS 4.1 update to developers, just over one week after releasing the new watchOS 4 operating system to the public. Registered developers need to install proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center, the new watchOS 4 beta can be updated through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone by going to General - Software update.
With watchOS 4.1, user can stream music, and access to any song from Apple Music or your iCloud Music Library, right from your wrist. The update also includes new Radio app which gives you access to Beats 1 live or any Apple Music radio station while away from your phone or Wi-Fi. And you can use Siri as your personal DJ.
Aside from these two updates, Apple has also released tvOS 11.1, and macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 developer betas. Registered developers can download macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 beta 1 through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store with the proper profile installed. The tvOS 11.1 beta 1 can be downloaded onto the Apple TV via a profile that’s installed using Xcode.
We are not clear what new features or changes might be included in the macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 and tvOS 11.1 updates, but it likely focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements, while could perhaps offer up some outward-facing design changes and feature tweaks.
