Apple Releases Sixth Beta Of iOS 11.2.5 And tvOS 11.2.5 To Developers

Apple today releases the sixth beta of an upcoming iOS 11.2.5 update to developers, two days after seeding the fourth beta. Developers who registered from Developer Center can download the iOS 11.2.5 beta over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed on your devices.

The iOS 11.2.5 update introduces a new feature that allows Siri to instantly stream a news podcast when asked about the news related questions. This new feature defaults to a daily news recap podcast by The Washington Post, users can also be switch to Fox News, NPR, or CNN shows upon request. This new feature is also available for some users who running iOS 11.2.2 as of this week.


Sixth beta of tvOS 11.2.5 is also seeded to Apple TV users as well, one week after seeding the fifth beta. the new tvOS 11.2.5 developer beta can be downloaded onto the Apple TV via a profile installed using Xcode.

Base on the version numbers, we don't see any new features or changes might be included in the tvOS 11.2.5 update, but it likely to focuses primarily on bug fixes and performance improvements rather than major outward-facing changes.
