Apple Rumors To Introduce A New iPhone With Triple-Lens Camera System In 2019

According to Taiwan's Economic Daily News, due to the slow sales of 2017 iPhone models, Apple will introduce a new iPhone with a triple-lens rear camera led by a 12-megapixel lens in 2019, while this year's models will be continuing to use dual-lens rear camera system,

The report cites Yuanda Investment claims in which the camera will have a 6P lens design with 5x zoom, but it doesn't specify whether that pertains to optical, digital, or hybrid zoom. EDN believes that Hon Hai and Largan Precision will be supply the triple camera lens.


Huawei's new P20 Pro, the first smartphone that equipped with three-lens rear camera system, including a primary 40-megapixel f/1.8 lens, a 20-megapixel f/1.6 monochrome lens, and an 8-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It provide a lot of advantages, such as greatly improved low-light performance and it produces sharper, cleaner images at a lower resolution.

The report also talked about the upcoming 6.1 inch LCD iPhone models, with an estimated price of $700 to $800, and to be featured with iPhone X’s top-of-the-range Face ID function. Among them, all three new iPhones are expected to account for 50% of the total sales of the iPhones this year.
