New Report Echoes Rumors Of 2018 OLED iPhones To Support Apple Pencil

Two new OLED iPhones that will launch this fall, including iPhone X2 and iPhone X Plus will likely to support Apple Pencil, according to Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News, which echoes a report by TrendForce that Apple Pencil support for 2018 iPhones.


If the new iPhones come with Apple Pencil, it can improve Apple's competitiveness and the price may be further adjusted. In fact, as early as the early of 2016, Apple applied for related patents, where users able to use Apple Pencil for iPhone to clip videos or send messages and other functions.

Nonetheless, It's unclear whether Apple will launch a smaller Pencil for the iPhone, since the current version may be very tough to use on the iPhone. It would be the first time Apple delivers its own stylus for the iPhone. Steve Jobs was not so into a stylus on iPhones, but times changes, so maybe users will appreciate this?

Apple Pencil was launched in November 2015 along with the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro and works with all other iPad Pro models released afterward, and it even comes to the iPad 6, a low-cost 9.7-inch iPad for the education market.
