Apple To Drop Price Of iPhone 8 To $549 And iPhone 7 To $450, Will Discontinue SE, 6, 6S, And X

According to Chinese website QQ, The news from Taiwan's supply chain indicates that the price of the iPhone 8 series will be cut by Apple, which is more than 1,000 yuan or $150. At present, the price of the iPhone 8 shows in Apple's online store is $699, after the price cut, it would cost about $549.

At the same time, the price of the iPhone 7 series will also drop, which will be priced at approximately 3,000 yuan or $450 after the cut. While it's a normal thing that older iPhone models to get price cut, still it would inevitably have a small impact on the Android camp.

However, old iPhone models such as the iPhone SE, iPhone 6, and 6S series will be discontinued once Apple announced 2018 iPhones. Cupertino will also stop selling iPhone X. And, if they plan to cut iPhone X's price, how are they going to sell their new models?

As for the price of 2018 iPhones, several analysts estimated that the upcoming 5.8-inch OLED version (the immediate successor of iPhone X) will start at $899, which is $100 less than the iPhone X, whereas the 6.5-inch OLED model (iPhone X Plus?) starts at $999, and the LCD iPhone model starts at $699.
