John Gruber Suggests Apple To Hold An iPad Pro Event No Earlier Than October 30th

The news about the new iPad Pro has started to increase in the past two days, and the media began to speculate that Apple will hold a press event soon. However, Well-known Apple blogger John Gruber said that it is unlikely to host the event before October 30.

This time John Gruber didn't quote any source, just based on his own judgment. The reason he gave is very simple, the iPhone XR will be available for pre-order on October 19 and will officially launch on October 26. At the time, Apple will not hold another iPad Pro event to grab the attention away from of the iPhone XR, and is not good for both products.

He rather believes that Event would likely to kick off around the end of October or November. Yet, it's certainly that Apple will unveil new products, as the registration information of 3 iPads and 1 Bluetooth device that has appeared on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Oct 19: iPhone XR pre-orders start
Oct 26: iPhone XR ships

I highly doubt Apple would hold an event for new iPads and MacBooks before XR ships. Doesn’t make sense let them take attention away from each other. I don’t expect event until October 30 or 31 or November.
The new iPad Pro features an ultra-thin bezel design and no Home button, as well as no "notch - the bezel thickness can still accommodate the various sensors that is required for the Face ID, which will support in Landscape mode. It will also ship a new USB-C connector and a new magnetic connector, besides, we would expect A12X processor and a new Pencil.
