Today In History: Steve Jobs Turns 64

Steve Jobs is the former CEO and co-founder of Apple. He was born in San Francisco, California on February 24, 1955. If he's still alive, today will be his 64th birthday. However, in fact, the CEO, who is hailed as Apple's greatest leader, passed away on October 5, 2011, after he struggled with pancreatic cancer for a long time, at the age of 56.


In 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. In the early days of Apple's establishment, Jobs successfully launched the Macintosh, introducing a graphical user interface and mouse to the world, creating a new era. Under his leadership, Apple introduced iPod, iPhone and iPad devices that renovated modern communication, entertainment, lifestyle. and forever changed the world.

Although Jobs became a very young multi-millionaire, it was only the first 30 years of his life, he got kicked out by his own company. However, he did not renounce. In the next 25 years of his life, Jobs founded NeXT and Pixar. Then between 2000 and 2010, after his returns, not only saved the company on the verge of failure but also turned it into one of the most innovative and valuable companies of all time.
