Apple Decorates Apple Park For Opening Ceremony, Featuring Lady Gaga

Ahead of the Apple Park Opening Ceremony today, Apple has decorated the campus with the iconic Rainbow colors, which you can see it on some stairs, walkways, and even on Coffee cups at the employee cafeteria, while the company also setup a rainbow arch stage at the center of the main spaceship building. Here's Apple design chief Jony Ive's explanation of choosing rainbow as the theme:

There is the resonance with the rainbow logo that's been part of our identity for many years. The rainbow is also a positive and joyful expression of some of our inclusion values and I think that one of the primary reasons the idea resonated so immediately and so profoundly with us was the form -- the connection from an aesthetic design point of view. A semi-circle relates so beautifully and naturally to the form of the ring.
Speaking of the rainbow stage, it's said that Lady Gaga had a special performance at the opening. The pop superstar has performed at the iTunes Festival in London in 2013. In fact, Lady Gaga has a pretty tight relationship with Apple, as she one day visited Steve Jobs and shared all sorts of great ideas with the late Apple co-founder, according to Eddy Cue.

Apple Park is now being recognized as the corporate headquarters of Apple Inc. It was first opened to employees in April 2017, while construction was still underway. It consisting buildings such as the main spaceship building that will house more than 13,000 employees, the Auditorium, aka. Steve Jobs Theater, Apple Park Visitor Center, and the entire campus is covered by landscaping, uses renewable energy.
