Satechi's First HomeKit Product 'Dual Smart Outlet' Cleverly Convert A Dull Device Into A Keen Appliance

Satechi, a well-known manufacturer of iOS and Mac accessories, today revealed its first HomeKit item, the Dual Smart Outlet, a dual-head Smart outlet that costs $60, designed to convert a dull device into a keen appliance, and enables you to remotely or automatically turning lights, coffee makers, TVs and more, off and on once you plug these appliances on the Outlet.


In one scenario, for instance, if you want to the Mac startup by itself, well, with this Smart Outlet, that is no longer impossible, just plug the power cord into the socket, then use your iOS device's Home app to schedule when to power on and when to not. Even better, it includes real-time power monitoring to keep track the power usage and set up a time of turning appliances off automatically.

This Outlet also interacts with other HomeKit devices and establishes Scenes and Automation, such as “Good morning” or “Good night”, which Siri will play a big part in activating them. As expected, an iPad, HomePod, and Apple TV is a must to remote access or to create automated actions.

A 2.4GHz WiFi network connection is required when using the Dual Smart Outlet.
