Apple Said To Launch 16-Inch MacBook Pro, 13-Inch MacBook Pro And MacBook Air In October

Apple will launch a MacBook Pro with a 16-inch screen in October and will be the company's largest laptop ever, according to supply chain sources via Taiwan's Economic Daily News.

The report says that the 16-inch screen is a 3,072 to 1,920 resolution LCD, supplied by LG. Foxconn and Quanta, two of Apple's biggest manufacturing partners, are anticipated to make a large amount of the notebook. Product positioning is between iMac and Mac Pro and is primarily designed to be used by those in the professional field.

The sources in the supply chain also expect Apple to update the 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models in October, but no information about these designs was given. However, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo commented earlier this month that an updated MacBook Air with Scissors Keyboard is expected later this year, although Apple has just recently updated the Air model with True Tone display.

The supply chain believes that the new 16-inch MacBook Pro will include more powerful hardware, and the price is expected to be "quite expensive", which will be higher than the current MacBook Pro, as matter of fact, it may bring a "new high price for Apple notebooks." The industry reportedly expects the laptop to start at around $3,000.
