Apple Officially Releases watchOS 6 For Apple Watch Users

Alongside iOS 13 today, Apple has also released watchOS 6, the latest operating system designed for Apple Watches, is loaded with customizations, health features and personalization. You can download the update via a dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General -> Software Update, it supports Series 3 and Series 4 Apple Watch models at the moment, as Series 1 and Series 2 will come on a later date.

Firstly, the WatchOS 6 update now has an Apple Watch App Store devoted to installing apps without the need for an iPhone. You can search for apps using Scribble, Dictation, and Siri. You can also see the app previews and install them directly on your wrist. Also, developers can now build Apple Watch-only apps without having the watch rely on the iPhone to download the app.

The Cycle Tracking App enables female Apple Watch users to record significant data about their menstrual cycles, fertility cycles, wellness conditions and results from ovulation prediction sets. They can also see the expected dates of their next era and fertility meetings. On the contrary, there's an app called Noise to evaluate DB levels from the Apple Watch microphone. It can also help you determine what you're hearing is safe and sound. Your Apple Watch can also alert you if the noise is too noisy, so you won't get hearing loss from listening to loud noise for long stretches of time. These features are also accessible in the iPhone Health app on iOS 13.

The activity rings have altered with Trends to show the activity data of the user in the graphs. Trends can say if you are above or below your objective and they show metrics from Move Calories, Stand Hours, Exercise Minutes, Overall Walking Pace and many more. If you haven't improved in the last 3 months compared to the last year, the Activity app will provide coaching and motivation to help you get back on track.

Many of highly-anticipated iOS apps have finally made it to the Apple Watch, which includes the Calculator app with tip calculations, Audiobooks to listen to audiobooks from Apple Books, and Voice Memo for audio recordings

Other watchOS 6 features include the ability for Siri to do web searches, Voice Memos and expansion of GymKit, as well as the release of a slew of watch faces and some new watch bands. These watch faces include Modular Compact, Solar Dial, California, Gradient and Numerals.
