Apple's 2019 iPhones, in addition, received a number of improvements on the camera hardware, the software aspect is also getting a fresh experience, it added various additional shooting options, including the one with different aspect ratio shooting modes and the ability to switch between focal lengths in Portrait mode that's exclusive to iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max owing to the new Triple-lens camera design.
Here are a couple of how-tos to get you started with the revamped native Camera app:
To change Camera Aspect Ratio, open the Camera app and tap the chevron at the top of the viewfinder, a hidden drawer will then appear, click on the 4:3 button in the toolset, choose your desired aspect ratio from the expanded 4:3 button menu, and you will be able to select three aspect ratio options: 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9.

How To Switch Focus Length
To use Portrait Mode, simply open the Camera app on the Lock screen or the Home screen, and slide to Portrait Mode. From there, you can change the Focus by clicking the round 1x button at the bottom left of the viewfinder. 0.5x translates to you can now take pictures with the ultra-wide-angle lens, while 1x corresponds to the wide-angle lens and 2x switches to the telephoto lens. By the way, you can also take a Portrait Mode with the front-facing camera.
