Kuo: SE 2, iPad Pro, MacBook, Pricer 5G iPhone, And AR Headset Expected Next Year

In his latest research report, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo detailed Apple's latest product proposal for year 2020 and predicted that the 5G iPhone metal mid-frame/chassis upgrade will increase the price significantly. He also touched on the basis of what to expect from the next year's iPad Pro, AR headsets, and the MacBook models.

Kuo pointed out in the report that the iPhone 11 series will have better-than-expected shipments in the fourth quarter of this year. At the same time, he expects iPhone SE2 and iPad Pro (with ToF lens) will be launched in the first half of next year.

It is reported that Apple will launch the iPhone SE2 at a cheaper price in Q1 2020. Most of its design and hardware specifications are similar to those for iPhone 8. However, the notable spec changes are the A13 processor and 3GB LPDDR4X RAM.

Furthermore, the first 5G iPhone will be officially released in the third quarter of next year. As a major change, not only will bring 5G network support (previously he said the all three new iPhones supports 5G), but also having a new metal middle frame and outer casing design, which undeviatingly indicates the cost will likewise climb.

Kuo suggested that the metal frame/chassis of the 2020 iPhone would increase significantly due to shifts in the manufacturing processes and the introduction of composite materials.

He also pointed out in the report that Apple will launch AR headset (head-mounted AR devices will be mass-produced as soon as 4Q19), and it is expected that Apple will cooperate with third-party brands to launch the AR headgears next year.

Finally, Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will unveil a new generation of MacBooks In the second quarter of next year and should see the laptops feature the much-anticipated scissor mechanism keyboards.
