Apple Donating Millions Of Masks To Health Professionals In The US And Europe Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

As the cases of coronavirus continue to to soar around the globe, protective gear such as masks and other medical supplies are beginning to run low. However, Apple is planning to donate two million N95 respirator masks to hospitals in the United States, Vice President Mike Pence revealed today in a press briefing.

CEO Tim Cook also announced on Twitter just awhile ago that Apple is donating millions of masks to health professionals in the United States and Europe:
Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19. We’re donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you.
To date, Apple has taken additional steps to stop the spread of COVID-19, including closing down all of its retail stores outside the Greater China region, urging employees to work from home, and plans to host the WWDC event in a completely new online format.

In the US, the numbers of confirmed cases is now at 24,73, with more than 291 deaths, and 147 recoveries. The situation is worse in Europe, Italy, now the epicenter of the pandemic, reported a staggering 4,825 fatalities and 53,578 confirmed cases. Spain, another European country, saw its death tolls surpassed 1,000, and it's speculated that in Madrid, 80% of people are expected to get COVID-19.
