Apple is now doing its second and third rounds of reopening Apple Store locations in the European Union. This includes the countries of Germany and Switzerland recently, which will reopen on May 11 for Germany’s 15 Apple Retail locations and the 12th for Switzerland’s 4 locations. Apple is doing staggered reopening, safety precautions and limited hours for their retail stores outside China. The company is reopening locations in areas where there are low cases of the coronavirus and when government and state public health departments allow the company to reopen stores.

German Apple Store reopening dates were announced yesterday, which will reopen on 11 May at 11 am local time. Now the Switzerland locations are announced to reopen a day after Apple Stores in Germany opens its doors again, at 11 am on 12 May. There are 4 Apple Retail locations in Switzerland, which are located in the cities of Zurich, Wallisellen, Geneva and Basel.

All reopening locations are subject to social distancing, temperature screenings and other safety guidance from Apple. This includes frequent cleaning of demo Apple products and high-traffic areas, hand sanitiser dispensers for customers and employees, face mask requirements and limited carrying capacity of customers at one time. All demo Apple products are rearranged on the tables to promote social distancing from customers including the temporary halt of Today at Apple sessions to prevent mass gatherings. All Apple Store locations will be mainly focused on their Genius Bar services and device demos, which encourages all customers to buy their products online and get their devices delivered contactless or skip the credit card or Apple Pay transactions by picking it up at the store. More Apple Store reopening dates will be followed later this month.
