Apple Offering Free AirPods Through Its Annual "Back to School" Promotion

Apple's "Back to School" promotion is back, and what's different about this year is that the company is finally no longer offering free Beats headphones, instead, it decided to give away free AirPods (second-generation) with the purchase of an eligible new Mac or iPad.

Students and educators who purchase a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, iMac Pro, iPad Pro, or iPad Air are eligible to receive free second-generation AirPods with a wired charging case. However, they can also choose to upgrade to second-generation AirPods with a wireless charging case for $40 or to AirPods Pro for $90.

Other than offering free AirPods, Apple has also discounted Mac and iPad products for students, allowing them to save up to $200 off for a Mac and up to $100 off for an iPad Pro.

A few things you will need to keep in mind is that standard iPad, iPad mini, Mac mini, and refurbished products are not eligible for the Back to School promotion, and the promotion runs until September 29, 2020, and is available through Apple's online education store, at Apple's retail stores where open, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE.

The promotion is now live in the United States and Canada, but not available in other regions at the moment.
