Apple And Verizon Partnering To Offer New iPad Buyers A Free Six-Month News+ Subscription

Apple and Verizon are partnering to offer new iPad buyers that activated through Verizon a free six-month subscription to Apple News+, this comes after reports of underwhelming revenue the service saw.

The deal will be available for any Apple ID that has not been subscribed to News+. For those who have already redeemed the one-month free trial, well, the good news is that buying an iPad through Verizon will still be eligible for five months free.

Verizon will email customers that are eligible for the promotion, and there does not appear to be any conditions on plans or other specs, any iPad activation should be available for this offer. Though, do keep in mind that the News+ subscription will be limited to one redemption per Verizon account.

Once the trial period ends, you should be deciding whether or not to proceed with the subscription or cancel it, as it will charge you at the usual $9.99 per month rate.

We should hear more about it on Thursday when Verizon is expected to announce the promotion.
