With COVID-19 cases continue to surge around the country, Apple is again closing more retail stores across multiple states, including those in California, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Utah, Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, and Oklahoma.

Back in May, Apple began to reopen U.S. Apple Stores, as the cases were down at the time, with more than 150 of the 271 stores in the United States had reopened, though, as of this week, 77 retail locations that had reopened have been closed once again.

Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's Vice President of Retail and People, insisted that Apple would not hesitate to close stores again if additional outbreaks demanded it. "These are not decisions we rush into - and a store opening in no way means that we won't take the preventative step of closing it again should local conditions warrant," O'Brien said.
