Apple Working On To Add Apple Pay QR Codes Payment Feature

There is a hidden feature that has been added under the Wallet App in the latest iOS 14 Beta 2 version, it will allow users to use Apple Pay to scan QR codes for payment, though it is not currently available.

Discovered by 9to5Mac, the code hinted Apple is working on a new method to help users make mobile payments through Apple Pay by scanning a QR code or the traditional barcode. 9to5Mac has obtained a picture showing the way it works (above). where users only need to scan the QR code with an iPhone camera, and then use Apple Pay to register the bound bank card for payment.

It is worth mentioning that this code exists in the public API, so such a feature is expected to support some third-party apps.

9to5mac stated that the code does not exist in the first beta version of iOS 14 released by Apple last month, so the iPhone maker only started to develop it in the last month.

Apple pushed the OS 14/iPadOS 14 developer beta 2 versions yesterday. A public beta is expected later of this month and will be available to all eligible users this fall.
