Apple Reportedly Preparing To Launch iPhone 12 In Two Installments

Digitimes reported today that Apple may be preparing to launch its 5G iPhone 12 lineup in two installments.

According to supply chain sources, due to the delay of Apple's iPhone 12, suppliers can only see the peak of PCB shipments of the new iPhone until the fourth quarter.

Sources claim that Apple may launch its iPhone 12 lineup in two stages. The first time it will debut two 6.1-inch iPhone models, and the second time it will release two other 6.7- and 5.4-inch iPhone devices.

Supply chain sources said that SLP (substrate-like PCB) motherboard suppliers have already completed shipments of 6.1-inch iPhone devices, and the two types of components will not start shipping until late August. Therefore, shipments of flexible circuit boards for the new iPhone will reach its peak 2-4 weeks later.

Apple will launch this year’s iPhone series with three sizes and four models, namely the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
