Apple Won Its First Primetime Emmy And A Total Of 18 Nominations

Apple TV+ has won its first Primetime Emmy Award. as the streaming service took home a total of 18 nominations, thanks to Billy Crudup's outstanding performance in "The Morning Show", he earned the honored of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.


Previously, Crudup had won the 2020 Critics' Choice Award for his role as Cory Ellison.

Crudup’s Emmy nomination was one of eight nominations for The Morning Show. Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, Mark Duplass, and Martin Short also won Nominated for acting, and Mimi Ludd was nominated for directing. The dramawas also nominated for its colorful opening title sequence and overall production design.

Apple TV+ received 18 nominations, which indicatesthat Apple won 11.25% of all Emmy nominations in 2020.

The company has also won two Daytime Emmys with TV + children’s shows "Ghost Writer" and "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10."
