Apple Stores Become Distribution Centers To Speed Up Deliveries

Because of the COVID-19 outbreaks in the US, most of Apple's retail stores remain closed, so customers are choosing to buy Apple products online. In order to speed up delivery, Apple will now deliver products to retail stores in advance and speed up delivery, according to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Under normal conditions, Apple products will be shipped from the warehouse closest to the customer or directly from China. Now for a period of time, if customers have their stock in an Apple Store near them, the products that a customer ordered will start shipping directly from Apple Stores. Currently, there are already more than 300 Apple Stores in the United States and Canada as Apple distribution centers.

Apple cooperates with FedEx and UPS, and most orders can be delivered on the day of order. Customers cannot choose where to ship from. Apple will choose the best method based on the delivery address.

iPhone 12 will be announced on October 13 and be available for launch sometime in November, so there will be huge demand at that time, Through this new distribution method, Apple can better handle soaring online orders.
