Display Analyst Claims iPhone 13 Lineup To Feature 120Hz ProMotion Display

Display analyst Ross Young shared a series of details about "iPhone 13" from Mizuho Securities today.

The iPhone 13 lineup are expected to feature integrated touch technology, and the Chinese company BOE Technology will work with LG Display to produce displays for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. It is believed that Samsung will provide Y-Octa technology to Apple for all iPhone 13 displays.

Most importantly, the iPhone 13 Pro models will sport the ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which utilizes LTPO display technology to support variable refresh rates.

Additionally, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will get the same camera sensor as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, while the sensor size of the two Pro models will increase, so camera improvements are expected.

Young predicts that both iPhone 13 Pro models will be equipped with LiDAR scanners, but whether this feature will appear on non-Pro models is currently unknown. As for the iPhone 12, rumors did not clarify whether LiDAR will appear on all Pro models or only on the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Lastly, all iPhone 13 models could support sub-6GHz 5G networks, but Pro models will also support the faster mmWave 5G. This year, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the only model rumored to offer mmWave 5G.
