iPhone 12 May Support Reverse Wireless Charging For Accessories

According to an FCC document, iPhone 12 may support reverse wireless charging for accessories, but this feature is not available yet. In the document, Apple mentioned that the 2020 iPhones support at least one Apple accessory for reverse wireless charging capability.

Bloomberg believes that the iPhone 12 may support reverse wireless charging for the new AirPods, and the new AirPods will support MagSafe, allowing the AirPods charging case to be magnetically fixed on the back of the iPhone 12.


Since 2019, there are rumors that iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will support reverse wireless charging. At that time, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that this feature has been shelved indefinitely due to charging efficiency issues.
