Leaker Claims New iMac Based On Intel Processors Coming In August

Yesterday, there were rumors that Apple may announce a new iMac with the Intel processor as soon as this week, and the design will unlikely have any changes. Now the reliable leaker Jon Prosser denied the rumor and said that the new iMac, instead, will be available in August.

The current shipping time of the iMac models has been as long as a few weeks, which makes many people assume that the new iMac might be arriving soon.

Prosser also responded on Twitter regarding whether the new iMac will use Apple's self-developed ARM processor or Intel processor. He said: "The first ARM Mac will likely be a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro."

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously stated that Apple plans to launch an iMac with Apple's self-developed ARM processor later this year, and will update the existing Intel-based iMac in the third quarter of 2020.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also believes that the first Mac with Apple Silicon will be the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro, which should be released before the end of 2020. Taiwanese publication DigiTimes also stated that the company's ARM chip will appear on the 13-inch MacBook Pro before the end of the year.
