Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo rolled out a report that Apple's new low-cost 9.7-inch iPad may includes Apple Pencil support in order to differentiate the lower-cost iPads from competing low-cost Android tablets. Kuo believes 9.7-inch iPad shipments will account for more than 70 percent of all iPad shipments in 2018.

There's clearly a speculation that the cheaper iPad to support Apple Pencil, as the Spring education event invitation includes an Apple Pencil sketched company logo. For now, 9.7-inch iPad model, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and both versions of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro devices are capable of supporting Apple Pencil.

In the meantime, Apple has just confirmed that it will not be live stream for the March 27 education-focused event set to take place at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, according to Events app on the Apple TV, which says that a video will be uploaded later in the day.

Base on recent rumors, the company likely to release a new cheaper iPad for schools, the tablet could priced as low as $249. Apple is also said to launch new low-cost MacBook that costs below $1000, even through Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said on Friday that the laptops are still in the works.

Other products that might unveil in the event including the AirPower wireless charging mat, AirPods charging case, iPhone X in Blush Gold color, or even an second-generation iPhone SE that brings speed bumps. Software side, the tech-giant will be releasing iOS 11.3, watchOS 4.3, macOS 10.14.3, as well as tvOS 11.3.
