Reports Suggest Apple To Build Its Second Headquarter At The Research Triangle Park In North Carolina

Apple announced in January of this year that it will establish a new company campus in a brand new location, where it will be focusing on technical support for customers. However, Apple has not announced the location of its new headquarters...


Now, according to the Triangle Business Journal, Apple may build the new headquarter at the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. Local news site WRAL also believes that Apple is building and transitioning to a 300-acre campus in the southern part of Research Triangle Park.

Apple would initially land in or near Cary, leasing space off Weston Parkway for roughly 1,000 employees, four sources said. The company would build up and transition to 300 acres in the southernmost portion of Research Triangle Park, all on the Wake County side, government sources said.

For those unknown, The Research Park is one of the most prestigious high-tech research and development centers in the United States and is often compared to Silicon Valley in California. It Gathered hundreds of scientific research institutions and R&D centers, including IBM's own R&D building.
