Analyst Suspected Apple Will Be Discontinuing iPhone X And iPhone SE This Fall

As we are getting closer to the days of the release of the new iPhones, rumors and research notes about the new iPhones are starting to fire up. Analysts from BlueFin Research said that Apple will discontinue iPhone SE and iPhone X this year because Apple has turned its attention to the new "iPhone 9, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Plus".

The iPhone X would presumably be discontinued in Q3 of this year, and the cheaper “iPhone SE” would also go away.

The analyst predicts that this year's new iPhones will have a batch of "pent-up demand" due to "the lack of upgrades activity over the past few years." So he suspected that Apple will produce 91 million iPhone units in the next two quarters. In addition, Apple will continue to produce more than 92 million units in the first and second quarters of 2018.

In terms of shipments, analysts forecast that in the next four quarters, Apple will be shipping 20 million, 60 million, 45 million and 40 million units. Analysts believe that "iPhone 11 Plus" will please users who think the iPhone X screen is too small, and "iPhone 9" will cater to those who are sensitive to price.
