Ever since Apple has issued a statement that it's official existing from the wireless router business in April, the company still sold AirPort products have been discontinued, like the AirPort Extreme and the 2TB AirPort Time Capsule. However, these wireless routers are no longer available from Apple.com anymore.

Though you can't buy AirPort from the online store or retail locations, yet some refurbished devices that may continue to be available on the refurbished site and perhaps there are still little bit of stock in some third-party retailers such as Target and Best Buy. Instead AirPort, Apple now recommends you to buy a Linksys Velop mesh Wi-Fi system, best alternative to Apple's own wireless router.

Last time Apple refreshed its AirPort products goes way back to 2013 (Extreme and Time Capsule), As Bloomberg reported back in late 2016, Apple has begun shutting down its AirPort unit in early 2016, in an effort to "sharpen" its focus on the "consumer products that generate the bulk of its revenue." A good news is Applet to continue providing service for current AirPort Base Stations for at least the next five years.

While there are also a lot of newer routers that offers similar design from the AirPort products, such as the eeroNetgear Orbi, and so much more!
