Another Report Suggests iPhone 9 With 64GB Storage Will Price At $399

A report from Fast Company specifies that the iPhone 9 starts at $399. Earlier, Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted that the iPhone 9 would sell for $399.

The iPhone SE released in 2016 starts at $399. Fast Company says its source comes from the iPhone supply chain. The iPhone SE was launched as a low-end iPhone at the time, and the $399 version had 16GB of storage. The iPhone SE was luxuriously equipped internally at the time, with a smaller form factor, and this year's iPhone 9 seems to be this strategy.

Rumors have suggested that the iPhone 9 will be featuring a 4.7-inch display, which is larger than the iPhone SE, but much smaller than the iPhone 11, not mentioning that it will keep the Touch ID Home button. Additionally, the upcoming iPhone will include the powerful A13 chip and 3GB of RAM, we are also expecting a camera upgrade and battery improvements

The $399 iPhone 9 will be getting 64GB of storage. For comparison, the 64GB iPhone 8 costs $449.

Also why is Apple launching the iPhone 9? Because Apple's new emphasis is on services such as the Apple Arcade game subscription service and the Apple TV+ original content. These services require the latest iOS support, so iPhone 9 can be an upgrade of choice for many iPhone 6 or 6 Plus users, as this is an iPhone that's affordable enough to run iOS 13.

As for release time, recent rumors speculated that we might see a new low-cost "iPhone" in the first half of 2020 (well perhaps in March). Apple typically host its annual event in March, so that would very well be the case where we see Apple announce the iPhone.
