Apple Releases iOS 13.4 And watchOS 6.2 Golden Master Versions

Apple has released the golden master version of iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4, and watchOS 6.2, suggesting that the updates will soon be available to the general public. The company also seeded the sixth developer beta of tvOS 13.4 and macOS 10.15.4. For those who have enrolled in Apple's Developer Program, the betas are now made available for you to download and install over-the-air.

iOS 13.4 introduces the much-awaited iCloud Folders Sharing feature, first shown on WWDC 2019, which enables you to share your iCloud folder with others. Another major new feature is the ability to let developers who make Mac and iOS apps sell them together in a single package, simplifies the experience for both developers and users alike.

Additionally, when an app requests Always authorization for the first time after having previously been authorized for While Using the App, devices with iOS 13.4 installed will immediately display the location authorization prompt.

On the iPad, there are new keyboard shortcuts are available in Photos on iPadOS 13.4, which allow you to quickly navigate between tabs, search, and create albums. iPadOS 13.4 also bring mouse and trackpad support for the iPad Pro, as Apple announced this morning while releasing the new iPad Pro.

Furthermore, it was discovered that there is a hidden "OS Recovery" option in iOS 13.4 that will essentially allow for a restore to be conducted over-the-air or by connecting a device to another ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad‌ using a USB connection, which it works the same way as Apple's Migration Tool - copies all of your files to your new Mac so that you don't have to copy your files manually.

Other minor features and tweaks Apple added in iOS 13.4 includes nine new Memoji sticker options that include shocked face, face with hearts, eyes rolling, and more; new third-party navigation and call controls; CarKey APIs for Apple Watch to unlock cars; rearranged icons in the Mail app toolbar; and added the new Shazam It shortcut in the Shortcuts app.

macOS 10.15.4, on the other hand, introduces Screen Time Communication Limits, a new Head Pointer Accessibility option so users can control how the cursor moves with their head movements using the Mac's built-in camera, as well as real-time lyric for Apple Music users.

Meanwhile, watchOS 6.2 introduces in-app purchases for ‌Apple Watch‌ apps, so developers can make watchOS apps that offer in-app purchase options and subscriptions.

We expect that iOS 13.4, macOS 10.15.4, and tvOS 13.4 to be also likely including bug fixes and performance improvements.
