Reports: watchOS 7 To Feature Blood Oxygen Detection, Shareable Watchfaces, & More

According to a trio of reports from 9to5mac, code in iOS 14 suggests Apple is developing at least two health-related features as well watchface sharing and sleep mode for this year's new Apple Watch.

First, the new Apple Watch will support blood oxygen detection. Blood oxygen refers to the oxygen level in the blood. The normal blood oxygen saturation of the human body is above 95%. The higher the oxygen content in the blood, the better your metabolism. The blood oxygen in the human body has a certain degree of saturation. If it is too low, it will cause insufficient oxygen supply to the body, and if it is too high, it will cause the cells in the body to age.

Apple Watch Series 6 and watchOS 7 will also include these new features:
  • Watch Faces Sharing: watchOS 7 will allow users to share their own watch faces with friends and family
  • Control Center: Control Center to feature new toggles for sleep mode and noise detection
  • "Infograph Pro" Watch Faces: in watchOS 7, the Infograph watch faces will include tachymeter, which can be used to calculate speed and distance based on travel time
  • Photos Watch Face: in watchOS 7, you can use shared albums to make watch faces
  • Parental Control: watchOS 7 makes it easier for parents to use iPhone to control their children’s Apple Watch
  • Schooltime: allows parents to restrict children's time on their Apple Watch during class
  • Sleep tracking: a user can set a personalized sleep goal in the Health app on iPhone, in return, the app will recommend how to improve one's sleep quality.
Apple will preview the watchOS 7 operating system at WWDC this year, however, due to the concerns regarding coronavirus outbreaks, Apple may cancel the Worldwide Developer Conference in June.
