Images Allege Leather Loop Apple Watch Band To Receive Redesign

Apple is expected to unveil a redesigned version of the Leather Loop band as soon as next month, according to leaked images shared today by Reddit user onewingleft.

The images show that Leather Loop will come with a different finish that could be more breathable than the current one and be available in new color options such as light blue, pink, and red. The new models could also offer better water resistance, and Apple maybe will expand availability to smaller ‌Apple Watch‌ models.

The person behind the leak claims the bands are for the “S6”, referring to the next-generation Apple Watch, suggesting we may not see these straps launch until the end of the year, however, considers that Apple often refreshes ‌Apple Watch‌ band colors alongside major events, it's possible that the bands would be unveiled at Apple’s WWDC ahead of the new wearable debuting in fall.

Launched alongside the original Apple Watch in 2015, the upcoming design change would mark the first-ever overhaul since the debut.

Apple is currently selling the Leather Loop for Apple Watch in four different colors: peacock, Meyer lemon, saddle brown, and black. The Leather Loop is $99 and available in 42mm and 44mm sizes.
