AMD Releases Boot Camp Drivers For 16-Inch MacBook Pro With Radeon Pro 5600M Graphics

AMD has released the Boot Camp drivers for the 16-inch MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro 5600M graphics card to provide full compatibility on Windows 10.

Boot Camp allows users to directly boot Windows on an Intel-based Mac. Nonetheless, during this year's WWDC, Apple's VP of Software Engineering Craig said that in the future, Mac using Apple's ARM processors would not support this feature, with "purely virtualization" as the route to running Windows.

Apple introduced the option of upgrading 5500M graphics on June 15th, claims the new 5600M graphics option is up to 75 percent faster than the base 5500M graphics for the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

The power usage of the Radeon Pro 5600 M is 50W, which is a 50 percent improvement over the Radeon Pro 5500M. The new Radeon Pro 5600M is now available inside of Apple’s MacBook Pro 16” as a BTO upgrade option, and comes at a $700 price range versus the Radeon Pro 5500M GPU.
