Leaker: iPhone 12 Pro To Include Support For Recording 4K Video At 120fps and 240fps

YouTube channel EverythingApplePro and leaker Max Weinbach have jointly reported that the iPhone 12 Pro camera will support recording 4K video at 120fps and 240fps. However, the high frame rate 4K video recording is limited to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Weinbach found the code for the new video mode in the iOS 14 developer beta, and some sources also confirmed this feature and that they'll likely be reserved for the higher-end models in this year's lineup.

Every year the iPhone will improve the ability to take pictures and record videos, and this year's iPhone 12 is no exception. This year's high-end iPhone 12 Pro Max will also be outfitted with a LiDAR sensor, similar to the 2020 iPad Pro.

The 2019 iPhone lineup can only record 4K video at 60fps and 1080p video at 240fps.

Apple is expected to launch four iPhone models this year, including one 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and one 6.7-inch model. All of them are said to support 5G, as well as featuring A14 chip, an all-new design that's comparable to the iPhone 4, 120Hz refresh rate ProMotion Display, and roughly the same pricing among the 2019 lineup.
