With the arrival of the back-to-school season, Apple recently launched an extended trial offer for Apple Music for students. For a limited time, eligible college students who are new users of Apple Music will receive 6 months of free subscription.
The company usually offers a three-month free trial of Apple Music, but retailer and carrier promotions sometimes extend it to four months. In the back-to-school season of 2019, Apple offered students a similar 6-month free trial of Apple Music, but the event expired last fall.
As always, Apple Music student discounts are verified through UNiDAYS, and students must verify their registration by linking their Apple Music account with UNiDAYS. The extended trial period is only applicable to new Apple Music users. However, if you are already an Apple Music user and student, please make sure you are using the $4.99 monthly plan.
Last year, Apple also bundled Apple Music and Apple TV+ together to provide students with further discounts at a price of $4.99 per month.
Apple said that the six-month free trial of Apple Music for college students will last until October 31.
