Apple has announced its FY17 Q4 earnings, during the period, the company sold 46.7M iPhones, 10.3M iPads, and 5.4M Macs, made $52.6 billion in revenue and 10.7 billion profit. Compare same quarter a year ago, Apple reported $46.9 billion in revenue, $9 billion in profit, 45.51 million iPhones sold, 9.28 million iPads sold, and 4.89 million Macs sold.
For the quarter, Apple sold 46.7 million iPhones, up from 45.5 million in the year-ago quarter. iPad sales were up to 10.3 million from 9.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2016, also Mac sales rose to 5.4 million from 4.9 million. As for Gross margin, the quarter was 37.9 percent, compared to 38 percent in the year-ago quarter.
It's worth to noting that because iPhone X only became available for pre-order last Friday, so it won’t appear in today’s results. Apple is also providing the guidance for its fiscal 2018 first quarter, includes revenue between $84 billion and $87 billion, gross margin between 38 percent and 38.5 percent.

“Apple’s year-over-year revenue growth rate accelerated for the fourth consecutive quarter and drove EPS growth of 24 percent in the September quarter,” said Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO. “We also generated strong operating cash flow of $15.7 billion and returned $11 billion to investors through our capital return program.”
