Apple Will Launch iPhone SE 2 In May, Expected To Have Same Size, Touch ID, Wireless Charging, And No Headphone Jack

Apple to announced a new generation of iPhone SE model in May, the device will retain the same physical size as the current iPhone SE, Touch ID is expected to remain, along with new changes like the wireless charging and A10 processor, reports Japanese website Mac Otakara, who spoke to a case maker this week in an electric trade show.

The new model will remain the four-inch display sandwiched between the top and bottom bezels for the home button, camera, and earpiece. It's also expected that Apple will be ditch the headphone jack for the iPhone SE 2 models, in which the company first did it on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus model.


The new iPhone SE will supposedly be powered by Apple's last-generation A10 Fusion chip, deliver up to 40 percent faster than the A9 processor in the current iPhone SE. Like iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X models, Apple may be adding a glass back to the models, enable wireless charging capabilities.

Apple would launch the small-factor iPhone model in next month, ECC's regulatory filing also suggested that there will be an Apple device to be released in May or June. We also expected that the company to maintain its retail price as $349.
