iOS 11 Is Now Installed On 76% Of Devices, While Android Oreo Only Take Up 4.6% Adoption

According to latest statistics shared by Apple today on its App Store support page, iOS 11 is now installed on 76% of devices, up 11 percentage points since January 18, when iOS 11 was installed on 65 percent of devices, compared to iOS 10 was installed on nearly 80 percent of active devices in February of 2017.

Meanwhile, 19% of users continue to run iOS 10, and a smaller 5% of users are running older versions prior to that. Many of these devices are likely because it unable to be updated to the newest version of iOS, there are also users that wants to keeping jailbreak their devices, as the iOS 11.0-11.2.1 are the versions that's jailbreakable. 


Not doubt, iOS 11 has been plagued by high-profile bugs and issues since its launch back in September of last year. Other factors including the poor battery life. no longer supports 32-bit apps, limited Cellular over-the-air App download limit - 150 MB, and as always users fell new update causes old model slow.

But when we compare this number to the Android install base, the result is far beyond impressive, it totally blow away the 4.6 percent of Android Oreo adoption. Majority users continue to running old versions like Android Lollipop, Marshmallow, and Nougat.
